Endomines is a Finnish mining and exploration company primarily focused on gold.
We operate in North Karelia, along the Karelian Gold Line—a zone approximately 40 km long and 5 km wide located within the municipality of Ilomantsi. Our active mining operations are centered in Pampalo, which hosts an underground mine, an open pit, and a processing plant. In addition, we extract gold from the Hosko satellite mine. Our second satellite mine, Rämepuro, is currently inactive. We also hold rights to seven gold deposits in the United States. Alongside mining, we conduct active exploration within the Karelia Gold Line area.
We produce gold for the jewelry and electronics industries, creating value by transforming natural resources into wealth—an investment that endures geopolitical instability.
Our vision is to develop the Karelian Gold Line into one of the world’s most significant and sustainable gold production areas. As a new strategic focus, we will also begin utilizing critical minerals such as tungsten and molybdenum—an industrially important mineral—alongside gold production. We are applying for EU recognition as a critical minerals producer in 2025.
Endomines is listed on the OMX Helsinki Main List (PAMPALO).

Endomines conducts active exploration along the Karelian Gold Line in Ilomantsi.
In 2024, exploration activities were carried out in Kuittila, Korvilansuo, Pampalo, Hosko, and Kartitsa, where we drilled a total of 128 drill holes with a combined length of 21.7 km. In addition to drilling, we conducted early-stage exploration in areas such as Ukkolanvaara, which included geochemical sampling, boulder tracing, bedrock mapping, and geophysical surveys.
Our exploration efforts focused primarily on gold, but in 2024, high concentrations of tungsten and molybdenum were also identified in the Kuittila area. The utilization of these minerals alongside gold has become a new strategic focus for us and reflects the company’s ongoing renewal.

As one of the few major private sector employers in the Ilomantsi region, we recognize that our decisions significantly impact not only our personnel but also the surrounding communities and service providers. Whenever possible, we engage local partners and subcontractors in our operations. In 2024, out of our 447 suppliers, 131 were local companies from the North Karelia region. Our total purchases from these local suppliers amounted to €2.9 million.
Recreational use in the surrounding area is mainly focused on outdoor activities and fishing, which we estimate to be only minimally affected by our operations. In 2024, we conducted voluntary noise and vibration monitoring at and near the Pampalo and Hosko mines, with no guideline values exceeded. Fisheries monitoring was carried out at the Hosko mine in accordance with the monitoring program. Reports on environmental monitoring results are available (in Finnish) on our website: https://endomines.com/julkaisut.
In 2024, we sponsored the preservation of a local beach as a recreational site for residents.
We assess the adverse impacts of our operations on landscape value to be minor. Thanks to protective forest buffers, visual impacts are mostly limited to the mining area itself. Once operations cease, the areas will be rehabilitated in accordance with closure plans.
Our stakeholder engagement aims to build trust and transparency between Endomines and our stakeholders. We strive to positively impact the residents and communities in our surrounding areas. Collaboration and open dialogue help us understand and respond to the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
In 2024, we organized information sessions for residents near our mining area in February and September, an Open House event at the Pampalo mine in August, and hosted stakeholder visits throughout the year. We mapped stakeholder interests through a double materiality analysis, which forms the foundation of our sustainability program. Additionally, we supported local primary and secondary school students with scholarships and sponsored the local sports club FC Pogosta.
To support stakeholder engagement, we developed our communication practices: we launched a “Naapurusto” (Neighborhood) section on our website to share information about environmental matters, land use, and events at the mining site. We also updated the “News” section to better meet visitors’ needs for current information and increased our communication through social media.
